Women Use Different Methods to Control Periods

More Ortho Evra® News

From altering menstrual periods to exercising, women can dictate the future of their bodies, but too much of a good thing can have damaging consequences.

For women with a world of choices, even the menstrual period is optional. Thanks to birth control pills, the Ortho Evra® birth control patch, and other hormonal contraceptives, a growing number of women are shortening or stopping their periods.

Periods can cause severe pain and other serious problems. For women entering menopause, blocking periods can help deal with the onset of menopause. The problem is there is not enough research on the long-term consequences of using hormones regularly such as the birth control pill or Ortho Evra® patch.

Whether it is exercising too much or limiting periods by Ortho Evra®, both need to be discussed with a physician.
