Ortho Evra® Makers Sued by Woman With a Pulmonary Embolism

More Ortho Evra® News

Ortho Evra® is being blamed by an Idaho woman that was diagnosed with a severe pulmonary embolism after using the birth control patch. She has now filed a lawsuit against the Ortho Evra®'s manufacturer Ortho McNeil. The woman used the Ortho Evra® patch for less than two years according to her attorney's press release.

After taking Ortho Evra® the woman suffered a large pulmonary embolus in her right upper lung and was hospitalized for six days. This is the most recent Ortho Evra® lawsuit to be filed as numerous other Ortho Evra® patch lawsuits allege the birth control patch caused a stroke, death, heart attack, pulmonary embolism, and deep venous thrombosis.

The Ortho Evra® lawsuits follow a warning issued by Ortho McNeil about the increased risks of blood clots associated with the Ortho Evra® birth control patch.
